I'm not too worried. With that said, the combos should be arriving at GC and so on pretty quick, so I could demo one before mine ships. If it blows, I can cancel the order - but I don't think I'll have to...

the new Spider Valves have me interested. ive been running my XT Live through my Classic 120 and ive been really happy with it. ive done it before, but never really got any tones i was happy with. i started messing with the output options and found Combo Poweramp sounds really good, even though im running into a straight poweramp and a 4x12 LOL

the Pod X3 is also making me drool...i even thought of selling off my PSA-1, Rockmaster, and XT Live to get an X3 Live. probably wont though LOL

Yeah -- until I get the Spider (I just got my "backorder notice" today ), I'm using my Floor POD Plus through an SS poweramp into my Mesa 4x12. To be honest, I like it better than I liked my Rectoverb head/TC Electronic rig. But it could be that it's just much simper to get "my sound" with the Line 6. I've used that style of rig for years though and have always been happy with it. It's not the "BE ALL END ALL" of amp rigs, but I find it more than adequate. It's also nice to be able to turn WAYYYY down to play at night when my wife wants to go to bed.

The X3 looks COOL AS HELL, but I think I'd be any MORE frustrated with that than I was with the XT. I like a simple setup. That's probably part of ther reason I'm really liking that this amp is in the Spider format.

i dont think the X3 would be that bad to work with...im finally (after a year or so LOL) getting really good with my Pod XT Live. the X3 would just add the option of having a 2nd rig going for a dual-amp sound, so it wouldnt be that hard i think. what really makes that fun is the fact that you can layer guitars on a recording without reamping (which is something i cant do at the moment) and have 3 or 4 different amps going at once for a massive sound with very little work as it is, the Pod sounds great, but being able to set up 2 rigs and record it at once (or set up the same rig and do a dual-micing type technique!) would just be awesome!

Hey guys

we got the Spidervalve 1x12 in the store today and I must say HOLY FUCK!

Let me start off by saying I OWN a bogner Uberschall, looking at it's bright green light right now asking me to play LOUDLY

anyhow, got the amp in, unboxed it, and unboxed the second box, then saw the amp and right off the bat, this is no fucking toy, this thing fucking screams quality, even the knobs are kickass! the fucking blue jewel light looks insane as well!, anyhow, plugged it in, and the first setting which is a clean setting BLEW MY MIND! I was skeptical about this, but we took a spider III 120 watt combo and put them side by side with the same setting and same guitar, and jesus if this thing doesn't just screaaaaaaaam tube amp!! haha I was floored and so were all the other "tube snobs" now it isn't an old fender amp, but this thing can do a clean sound like bogner!

So went through everything on this amp, and by the way this thing is LOUD, when the 120watt spider crampped at it's louder setting and sounded muffeled like it had a blanket over it, this 40 watt amp just blew it away!
so then I got my Ibanez universe, the green one with the green dot inlays, and dialed in a pretty convincing Domination Morbid Angel tone and proceeded to belt out where the lime lives solo and all, because I setup a dry tone for the rhythm parts and then a nice chorus/reverb'd sound for the solo it was JUST like the cd, I mean this thing really pulls off the high gain modd'd marshall like nothing else!. This thing on the "metal" and :insane" settings really sounded like an Engl or my Uber! FUCK I was so impressed I ordered 2 heads! hahahaha on the spot! I plan on using them with an Eventide harmonizer as that really is the only other effect I need, harmony, and I'll run them in stereo live, and just run two marshall 1960b's and I'm in fuckin perfect tone land, with the shortboard, I've got all the settings!

I really can't say enough about this amp, from the country guys to the jazz guys to me the fuckin morbid angel guy, really got ANY tone we wanted!
just needs maybe a bit more tweakability for the effects but, the reverb is fucking killer! Jesus, I cant believe the difference!

then we ran it through a 4x12, This thing has so much punch and MOVES AIR, fuckign sinister!!!

I love it!

Thanks for the review man. I hope GC gets it. I'll get a chance to play on the lil monster. I've been waiting for a nice lil 1x12 all-tube combo that wont break the bank and this might just be it. Awesome!! If by any chance you can record some sound-clips and post 'em, that would be great.

Now I wanna CRY!! Man, if the 1x12 combo kicks that much ass.... It's good to hear this from a "real amp" user. There has been SOOOOOO much skepticism about this amp even before anyone heard it... I hope it kills, and I hope all the skeptics get to eat a nice bowl of dicks.

Hahaha, I wish I got paid by Bogner! or at least got my Uber for free, but sadly that did not happen!, However I will say the Uber was the best choice in an amp I've EVER made, EVER and these spidervalves are killer just the same!~
Emperor Black, I can try to make some soundclips, it won't be that hard, the amp is sitting in the recording room right now! However we only got one in stock, and It might go quickly unless I loan it out hahahaha

Edit: Never mind, line6 had a nice lil option of viewing the back of the amp...Designed in USA. Made in China.
