  • Line 6 Pod X3 & X3 Live

    http://www.line6.com/podx3live/

78 guitar amps, 24 guitar cabs, 28 bass amps, 22 bass cabs, 6 vocal preamps, and 98 stomps. Crazy. Plus, it has the Vetta-style dual amp feature. Between the this and the SpiderValve, looks like Line 6 has been busy!

Sounds cool but not cool enough to for me to replace my POD XT. Maybe if I didn't already have the XT I would get the POD 3.

I was looking to get a backup XTL but decided to wait for a new model so I'll try and get one of these when I can try one out. Not sure when we'll get them down under.

This one looks like a "wait and see" ebay buy for me. I didn't like the XT much, but that's for two reasons:

                1. You turn the "AIR" switch off, set up a patch, shut the cab sim OFF (it fucks things up when you're playing POD >> Poweramp >> Guitar cab), save it, go to a different patch, come back, and the goddam sim is back ON!!!

                2. Too much time tweaking, not enough time playing - not that it's necessarily a bad thing, but geez...

It does look like a SUPER COOL piece of equipment though.

Better wait a bit on these as there's no edit software yet. Updated gearbox supposedly coming mid January but I bet It will be longer if they follow theyre previous record. I like the line6 editing software much, much, much better it has a lot more control. But it looks like they wont be using that !!!!!

I wonder if they'll package some of this for the XTL as an upgrade?

I doubt it. This is the newest Line 6 technology. Multiple processors.
