I have two thoughts on this. First, I like the made in USA stuff better just because its usually better quality. However, when building race cars there's a saying that says the car is only as good as its weakest link. If we apply the same reasoning here, the amp's weakest link I'm assuming is the chinese made tubes so whats the diff where its made except for the profit margin being higher I also agree that for the money I'll stick with my Bogner

Mexicans get called aliens when they work in the Corona Plant, so why not just work near home? lol

And I'm definitely sticking with my Soldano SLO-100. Hey, Ed really loved this amp, anyway, and tried to replicate it over the years. I'm okay with the signature stuff, except when someone starts coming out with a new signature "something" every few years. That starts to reek of $$$$$$$$$$

The more I read on here the more I realise what a deal the Egnaters are. For about the same price of a mass prodused, made in wherever Fender EVH Marshall or whatever you can get a 4 channel hand built in USA amp with the versatility of being able to switch out modules to change out two of the channels for 400 a pop. You can talk to the guys who are the ones actually building your amp. They'll also tweak your modules to taste. You just have to be patient enough to wait.(the wait times are getting shorter they say) We'll see.

Si... el nuevo cincuenta uno cincuenta se hace en Mexico hommes...

And the really sad thing is people are paying the $2000 street price for a new one. $2000US for Mexican quality and Mexican labor rates?!? I think you'd be better off just stuffing some cash in an envelope, writing donation on it, and mailing it to Scottsdale, AZ. The most I'd pay is $1000 +/- and yes I have played the new 5150III. Definitely not a $2000 amp by any stretch of the imagination.

What's the difference? If it sounds good to you and you're ready to pay the price, so be it.

If an amp sounds good it sounds good, regardless of where it's made.

After that it depends on your wallet and whether it's good enough to live up to the price...

Bogner 1/2 stack new is $4100.00! Not $3k. :-)) And imo
the Bogner is 10% LESS in tone! Except of course the Uber!

Just get a Boss GT8 already! All the tones in the world are possible! Read this document called "Boss GT-8 Brilliance". It tells you everything the Manual does not.

                                Problem solved.

The amp kills, I dont care if its made in Sri Lanka, Beverly Hills or Puerto Rico (the shining star of the carribean).
