  • Vox XL models taking pedals?

I've sifted through other threads but couldn't find an answer to this question...in doing research over Vox amps, I think i've found a winner...the Vox 100VTXL, the blackface rock monster.....and I am so ready to jump on one, but here is my only question...I read somewhere that the VT vox's do not take pedals very well, that they have some kind of "gain cap" on them or something that makes using stomp boxes and processors sound very muffled and strangled...?? What do you guys know about this? I"m sure you all understand not wanting to get the amp home, and plugging up my processor only to realize this is true and have a useless combination of processor and amp? any help, would rock! Thanks guys!

No pedals required, they have tons of gain and all the effects you'll ever need.I'm not a pedal guy,I always plug straight in.I have a AD30VT "XL" and no need to add a tube screamer or dist box.The thing smokes.
