  • amp choice to make (help)

i've narrowed it down to 2...

Line6 1X12 40W Spider Valve or used B-52 AT2X12 100W for slightly less... with the money saved on the B-52 i can get a FloorPod.

    SpiderValve...

    AT2X12...

    Floor Pod...

i'm leaning towards the B-52 and floor pod for about the same amount as the Spider Valve. i've tried them booth they both sound good to me, i think with the B-52 i get more for my money... any thoughts...

    2 x 12's is ALWAYS better than 1 x 12.
I would go for the B52 rig. It will be more versatile.

2x12 combos are heavy, at least for a guy like me weighing 140 lbs.

Both of the amps I've kept for more than a few months have been 1x12's and I think they do just fine while weighing ~40 lbs instead of ~70.

Have you played the Line6 Spider Valve or the B-52? I played both and I would say get the B-52, I thought the tone was better on it than the Spider Valve.
