            Isn't the VH140C a tube amp? Are you thinking of the SS140C? I had an SS70 combo way back and remember loving it.

              I would say the Line 6 Vetta in terms of being able to do literally anything and do it well, but it has a Price tag to match unless you go used, but even then you need the longboard to get the most out of it, which adds another $200 for the price.

                nope, the vh140c is solid state. the SS140c is identical. the ss150 is pretty much the same thing too, just mono 150 watts instead of stereo 140, and with no chorus.

                the old V-series (V4, V2, VT-22, etc) were tube, if that's what you're thinking of.

                            They're not solid-state.They're digital modeling amps. Solid-state amps have analog circuits.

                              I still consider them solid state though, as they use transistors and computer chips to make sounds, rather then tubes, which puts them at solid state if you want to get technical
