  • Tube power amps

I've been getting curious about tube power amps lately. I know Marshall, VHT, Mesa, Engl and Carvin all make current models. I didn't see any current production from Peavey, but I might've looked in the wrong place. Who else makes tube power amps?

    Marshall 20/20, 50/50 and 100/100 if I'm not wrong.

Don't know if Peavey still makes new ones but there are tons of Classic series ones still around.

Soldano had a 100 watter briefly.

If you look more toward the hi-fi world there are tons and tons of tube amp makers.

I've downsized my rack - I'm going to be selling my VHT 2/50/2 - PM me if you are interested.

Randall makes a cool power amp as well. Avoid the new Marshalls - reliability problems galore. Avoid the Carvin - it is too hi-fi for a rock guitar rig IMO. The Boogie and VHT stuff is the best I've found.
