  • Am I the only Fender Supersonic user?

I was just wondering if anyone else in here has used or is using a Supersonic. I have to confess my love for this amp. I have had Marshalls, Mesas, Carvins, Laneys, Line 6s and Hiwatt. This amp really delivers for me. I am considering getting another and running stereo through twin Marshall cabs. The only problem I havent figured out is how to use the channel switching simultaneously. What have you guys done in this situation. Is there a magic pedal? HEHE Thanks in advance...Oh, if you get the chance. Try a Supersonic head out.

Oh I've got GAS for one of those. I used to play a silver face Vibrolux back in the 80's, and regretfully sold it. I played a Supersonic combo recently, and it really captured that Vibrolux vibe and lush reverb. But, the Vibrolux isn't the most flexible amp, but no worries...you can switch to the Bassman or modern modes with that puppy.

The only down side to the Supersonic head is there is no reverb. Nothing an E/H reverb box in the loop wont cure. I use a Sonic Stomp to really bring it to life. Night and day. The Supersonic combo has the reverb.

I've never actually tried it, but I bet you could use an a/b/y box set to Y, plug in the footswitch and send the two outs to both the footswitch jacks.

mike - does the footswitch just use 1/4" plugs? if so, there are a number of solutions.

            Hey Tim,
Yes, it is just a 1/4 in cord. It doesnt look like it is a stereo or dual tipped plug end.

You need one of these - http://www.axess-electronics.com/sc/...p-1-c-252.html

it can be controlled by just about any MIDI foot controller.

I played one of these a few months back with a Dean superstrat, and the clean tones were AWESOME. IIRC, the gainy sounds weren't bad either.

My Super really comes alive with the BBE Sonic Stomp. It is like night and day. I really appreciate the help with the switching on two heads. Thanks guys..You rock!!!

Hmm, Mike you have generated my GAS, once again. I must check those out for the Vibrolux and Bassman tones. Oh, wait I can't buy another amp. I just bought a 5 option Soldano SLO-100. That one broke the bank!:ROTF:
