Neither. TBX is actually a cut. A SD booster pedal will only amplify your non-clarity.
Non-clarity is usually a result from one or several of the following:

crap pickups
old strings
crummy amp
crummy speakers
bad cables
too many stomp boxes
And a BUNCH more things.

What kind of music/ tone is that you are looking at playing? Are you a high gain player? Also what else is in your setup.
