Sonic Maximizers - What Amps Benefit?

My BBE Stomp really pushes my Fender Supersonic. Can't imagine with out it.

+1 on Rectifiers not working with the Sonic Maximizer. At first when i used a sonic maximizer (i think model is 422) with my Dual Recto i thought it sounded pretty good. But after a while when the enthusiasm of having a new toy faded, it was very bland and lifeless.

Put it into a loop of a JCM900 and you have a great brutal sound

Yup, Not a Mesa Rec. Definately, a 5150.

Is this because the rectifiers have parallel loops as opposed to a serial fx loop?

I always see those 422s for around $50 in my part of the country. Ive seen 3 in the past 2 weeks on craigslist for $50

My only experience is with a BBE 422A nd my 5150.

Let me tell you something, I was *THIS* close to selling my 5150 because it just didn't give me the tone I was wanting. Then I finally listened to Bill and grabbed a BBE 422A. It was the best thing I could have ever done. The 5150 and the BBE 422 are a better match than peanut butter and jelly, pizza and beer, penis and vagina.....

If Peavey made the 5150 with the BBE as part of the amp as an internal component, they would have the best amp for the money, bar none.
