Well they state there are some mods on randy's version and they had to get a tech to the original to reverse-engineer it. Could be true, could only be marketing talk, who knows ? Then again i wonder what took them so long ?

You guys are talking about his live tone, like on Tribute? Because that tone on the studio albums is thick, full, and double/tripled tracked to get that "wall of sound" he was so well known for. Probably didn't use Marshalls exclusively in the studio anyway, but Randy had great tone, for cryin' out loud..."Got a crazy feeling I don't understand,

I love Randy, he was one of my first influences getting into heavier music, but his tone was horrible, on the record or otherwise... buzzy, etc everything that's already been said. But the playing more than makes up for it
