Thinking of buying a combo for home/band practise and the odd small gig, have been looking at the Hughes & Kettner 50W Switchblade (the one with the in-built effects) and reviewers seem to either love or hate it.
Anyone tried it, have one, or any opinions? There's no dealers near to me, so want to see if it's worth the 8 hour round trip to try one out.
Any other suggestions? Looking for around 50W out and to spend up to £1000 (UK).
BTW, my usual rig is a Marshall JCM2000 with 4x12 playing 80s rock, though must admit I miss my old JCM800 4010 combo for it's sweeet clean sound.
