Sweet. The Rectoverb is a very nice amp and does the high gain thing right down to country clean if you need it too. it is one amp that is staying in my stable for right now for sure. Congrats!

Firebird V do you run anything in the loop of your rectoverb?
I've heard it's kind of lame with digital effects (I'll be runninga Boss Me and an MXR 10 band
EQ in the loop of mine) hopefully it will be ok (the JSX has a great effects loop). If this is our perdition, will you walk with me?

No I dont but I do have a Boss parametric EQ and a noise suppressor / comressor gate that I can throw in there and let you know. I also have some pedals too. Want me to try it out later?
I have run stuff in the loops of 3 other Rectifiers i have owned with no problems... 2 Dual heads ( one 3 channel and one 2 channel) and a Rackmount head...
You could always bring some stuff along with you when you go to pick up the one you are looking at too... This way you try it out firsthand with your gear.Last edited by Firebird V; 02-15-2008, 03:43 PM.

Well I picked up the Rectoverb head and 2 X12 Mesa cab on Friday night and I'm a little dissappointed with the loop on this thing.
It seems that the Master control on the front of the amp is the send for the loop so if I don't want to overload the loop circuit I have to back off of the Master , which at lower volumes cuts back the gain and the balls that this thing has tremendously.
I found a great sound withthe Vintage setting on channel 2 with the Master at about 3:00 oclock and the gain at about 11:00 with a clean boost in front. It sounds great at a very reasonable volime level, but all of my effects and my MXR 10 Band EQ are flubbing in the loop at those settings.
What do I do with this thing??????????Last edited by kmanick; 02-17-2008, 08:59 PM.If this is our perdition, will you walk with me?

Hmmm. I have never run any effects in my Rectoverb but have in the few Rectifiers I have had and I have always done what Chris Olson stated and have never had a problem.
When I get home tonight I will plug some of the effects that I have into the loop and see what happens...
Also just found this on the boogie board...
It is a mod for the loop.
I believe one of the old rectifier rack heads I had at one time had an effects return and send that had a pot for each. it was very useful. I don't know why they changed that.Last edited by Firebird V; 02-19-2008, 09:47 AM.

The Problem with the loop on the Rectoverb (and single rectos I believe) is that the
"Master" control is also the send to the loop, so if you crank up the Master to get a shitload of gain, you overload the loop send circuit.
Lucklily I can get the tone I am looking for with keeping the master down and using a clean boost in front, so I may be OK. I don't even need the EQ in the loop so that simplifies things.
Pics of my new baby.
