  • Marshall 30 watt combo

Anyone here have any experience with these?
I saw one today and the price was cheap enough to consider.
It has 2 10 in Eminence speakers and a boost built in.
I did a little research online and some say its not a very good amp at all.Your input?
    Really? well screw Mark Twain.

Any chance you could dig one up locally and test drive it?
Used, at a local music store?
If not, well... the price should be cheap enough that it's easy to off if you don't diggity.

It has the Marshall name on it, so... you've got that going for you.
Craig's list it if you don't likey.
        N stuff
(thanks spike, master of the obvious)
        hehe

Is it the 3203 Artist series combo? These are pretty hard to find and sound good. Tubes?

Its a rather small combo amp.Greyish in color with the wheat grill cloth.
I did find out today from my amp guy these had major transformer problems and caused a few fires I think I'll stay away from these.

That would be 4203 and I agree wholeheartedly...they are great amps. I have a 3203 (head version) that I bought in '86 and I still use it regularly to this day.

Sounds like the 401 combo you are looking at.
