Marshall cab and amp?

I managed to find this listed locally and can get it for $600.00 cash. It doesn't seem like a great deal, but not too bad either. Considering all I am using now is a Johnson Jstation and headphones this would be a nice addition to my basement. Let me know if it's worth it or not. Thanks.


Marshall 1960A lead cabinet was $799 from guitar center. The "A" is for an angled cab. Listed for $1180.00
Marshall G100R CD solid state 100 watt head. IIRC it was $500 something new, can't find that model online anymore as it's been replaced by an ever cheaper head at $349.99 with less features.

Looking for $700 firm out of this. It was $1300 new plus tax.

I would pass on it. The cab can be had for $300-400, and the head is probably worth next to nothing. I have about that same amount in my Laney AOR half stack, and the head was mint.

The head is a POS... can be bought new for less than $200.

Like I said guys I didn't think it was any kind of smoking deal, but hell the price for everything is comparable to some 2x12 solid state combo amps. I spoke with the guy a little more and everything is in mint condition as it's never left the guys bedroom since he bought it new. No tears, rips, marks etc on the cab or head. Also, the cab is a JCM900 1960A which means what, it's just a bit older than the current 1960a's? Still not worth the $600?
