I'm kinda shocked at how many people said 'what for, I have all the gain I need?'
although now that I think about it.. it's not so surprising that the jcf isn't a hotbed of fuzz use...

i use a boss hyper-fuzz. i like it okay. i use in front of my old fender tremolux when i play my old strat. it is fun for vintage rock!! i like the boss because it has two types of fuzz, a clean boost, and a two band EQ. it is pretty versatile!GEAR:
some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!
some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!
and finally....
i have those little plastic "chips" used to hit the strings...WHOA!!!!

I can understand that this probably isn't the forum that uses the most fuzz, just like I don't have much luck striking up conversations about Hammond organs around here. Except of course Tim! He's down with all sorts of cool gear! As for me personally I use a Electro Harmonix Little Big Muff. I sat down at the music store I was working at one day and A/B compared all the fuzz pedals available, and that one was my favorite. Great fuzz for under $100.
If money, and the ability to actually find one are not an issue, I would get a Univox Super Fuzz. There was a great one at another music store I worked at that I really wanted, but unfortunately the Queens of the Stone Age came up with the $300 to buy it before I could. As an extra tease, I was in their studio about two years later, and low and behold, there was the Super Fuzz, sitting on a cart with a bunch of other pedals!!
