  • Need Help Converting 9VDC Device to 9VAC

I would like to use an A/B device I am building on a pedalboard powered by a Pedal Power AC power supply. I am using the fulltone A/B box as a model.

    http://fulltone.com/PDfFiles/AB_switcher.pdf

Does anyone have a suggestion for how this unit be modified for use with 9VAC? I know it can be done with a few additional components but I do not have an in-depth understanding of it all.

    Thanks!

For anyone remotely interested in this issue, I think the solution lies in something called a half wave rectifier that I will attempt to incorporate into the box to convert the incoming AC to DC voltage to power the device.

A bridge rectifier converts AC to DC.. it consist of a mere 4 diodes (diodes only let current flow one way) if converting the same voltage, a transformer is needed if voltage is changed.
