Like the idea, but no FX loop was a disappointment..

Has anyone tried it with some other pedal in front than Jekyl&Hyde?

Sounds cool, but:

"As many players have done for years, you just run all the pedals into the front of the amp no effects loop required."

Isn´t this a bad solution for the sound?

If you get your distortion from a pedal, running the amp itself clean, you can put the other pedals (reverb, delay, chorus etc) up front as well. And since that´s what this amp is all about, I think it should work out just fine.
