  • GT-8 ground loop questions...

Okay, so I've read about people using cables that are only grounded on one end plugged into certain inputs/outputs on the GT8 when running the 4 cable method to eliminate ground issues. I had this exact problem with my ISP Decimator ProRackG, by using both channels like it is designed for, it introduces MORE noise unless one of the cables is only grounded at one end because of ground loops created.

So what I'm asking is WHICH cables need to be grounded at both ends and which need to be grounded at one end when using a GT8 and which end plugs into which input? Basically if someone who really knows what they're talking about can fill in this chart and possibly explain to me WHY it works that way that would be awesome, because I'd really like to develop an understanding of how this stuff works so I can figure it out myself in the future...

    Code:
End 1 End 2 End 1 Grounded? End 2 Grounded?
    Cable 1 Guitar GT8 In Y/N Y/N
    Cable 2 GT8 Send Amp In Y/N Y/N
    Cable 3 Amp Send GT8 Return Y/N Y/N
    Cable 4 GT8 Out Amp Return Y/N Y/N
