Home Recordings?

I want to start recording some guitar on my PC at home. Nothing major, just demo's and stuff. I've got a pretty good PC which I think can handle it but I've no idea what software/hardware to invest in. I'm not particularly looking for the most expensive, just something that will do a decent enough job for demo's.

If anyone has any suggestions as to what software/hardware to check out, then that would be greatly appreciated!

Go with a firewire interface with as many input as you can get you'll need/want them sooner than you know. Everthing is plugins so hardware is really a thing of the past. Check out HC recording forum they'll also help you.
