Peavey JSX Mini Colossal Guitar Amp?

Guys,

Initially I was going to go the way of the 100W head for home use but now I realize that unless I am playing gigs its still not a practical decision.

So I went to a local bar this weekend and noticed the guitarist from the band had mike'd up a mini colossal.

Then it occured to me if I got a decent distortion pedal I could get a good tube tone at low volumes.

Any advice on this amp and its sound with pedals?

there were some clips on youtube of the MC. they ripped IIRC.

The Mini is pretty expensive for the features, which could mean it´s overpriced or built really well... and with that tremelo circuit onboard it´s likely that it is voiced pretty much vintage-style. But seeing as Satriani helped design it it probably takes pedals pretty well! I haven´t had the chance to try one, though, so my advice is pretty much useless.
