    C, I'm sure your old tone inspired by Trey's was killer..he's a major Eddie disciple!!

    I hear ya on the Uber..I've been content with that beast since 2002. I've always grew tired of the countless heads I've had no matter how good..'cept for the ones my wife gives me. I'm never tired of those!

      One of the biggest knocks on the 900 series (at least the SLX) was that it used solid state clipping circuits to get its high gain tones, so the distortion was not "all tube"...much like the Krank Krankenstein had many years later.

      I personally have never cared for the 900 amps but I've heard some other people get good tones out of them.
