  • Egnater Tourmaster Half Stack Video Clip

    Backstory:

Bought this amp last month. Played it for an hour. Got lost in work. Wife went to the movies last night and left me home alone I tweaked the knobs to taste, messed around with it and a couple of my other cabs, and then went back and recorded about 7 minutes of playing thru the channels (some of it is not pretty, so bear with me).

    Vid link:

You may want to skip ahead to about 2:45 or so otherwise hang in there thru some of the rough playing/boring speech at the beginning and you'll hear my preli...

If you're like me and short of time:

Skip to around 2 minutes or so to begin getting to the slabs of meat. Feel free to listen to the me babbling on and on before that point only if you have time to waste

Apparently that amp was originally supposed to be the new B-52. I don't know what happened, but Egnater decided to produce it on their own. Obviously the quality will be better, but I bet the price reflects that too.

Thanks for the clip. It's the best sounding one I have heard yet of the Tourmaster. What power grid settings were used? Classic or Modern on the channels?

I was pretty impressed with the Egnator as well at the local GC. They did a great job getting a tight brown sound.

Full power settings throughout. Most individual channel volumes were at 11 o'clock or below (except for Ch 1) and the master volume was at 10 o'clock or so (recorded at 10:30 PM). Ch 1: Modern/Ch 2: Classic/Ch 3: Classic (Contour)/Ch 4: Modern.
