And wow...everyone (including me) who said.."Cant be that much better"
"Not worth the extra $'s over the GT-8"... OH YES IT IS !! First off...
EVH Brown sound... Done! "Erupting"..is a patch, that alone nailed VH
first album..but with some graphic EQ'ing i was able to boost it another
7 or 8db and add some more spaciousness to the Rev.. and it's just dead
on, like being able to sneak backstage and play on the masters rig!
Now, i do need to clarify that the GT-10 is going thru a VHT 2/90/2
rig for "Left" channel...and then thru a EVH 5150 III for the right channel
on "green". So it may be just a bit more impressive in stereo, over say a
Marshall 1/2 stack in mono. The 44.4khz or whatever this audio quality is
now on these, is imo...about 1/3rd better audio quality overall than the "8'.
Then you add really cool presets, (they have done their homework..
Rectifiers...Uber...And given the simple knob tweak idea as if you had
your pedals laid out in front of you, only they are in the display screen
in virtual reality. I was editing, and writing and moving patches around
within a 1/2 hour. ( Havent even opened up the manual yet)
I was thinking that with GC's 30 day return policy
i could check it out, and then return it within 20 or so days, if it didnt
kick the GT-8's ass... Well after 3 hours with it, IT DOES! Im keeping it.
$465.00 including tax today, (the only one available in PHX, AZ)
Havent even gotten into the 39 second phrase sampler, or all the split
effects and foot control options yet, that this unit offers...but it's hands down the
best tone my ears have ever heard. TWICE the GT-8 overall imo !!
Look for 2) GT-8's for sale soon in the Classifieds area !!![Big Grin](https://www.jcfonline.com/core/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
My Brother in law is going to shit when he hears the "Erupting" preset !!\
If the $1500.00 "G" force by TC is even better audio quality than this
GT-10..."im not sure i could stand it !
