Anything from Beyond the Astral Skies by Uli Jon Roth. That guitar tone is extremely pure.
I also like Guthrie Govans Cornford tone.

Come to think of it.. I like Mick Mars tone in Dr. Feelgood alot.

Bill brings up a great tone with Savatage's Edge of Thorns album. I'd love to have tone like that.

Sabaton also has some killer guitar tone, though I've never heard them live. When I saw Hammerfall live, I really liked what I was hearing. Halford's backing band also brought some nifty tone, but I saw them like eight years ago.

            John Sykes
Roxy Blue/Sid Fletcher - Want Some?
George Lynch - Tooth & Nail guitar sound
Dio/Rowan Robertson - Lock up the Wolves tone, that whole album was badass

Hmm...so many, but Van Halen For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge.....that really still stands out,,,Ratt Detonator and especially the collage album (pure SLO guitar tone, not polished), Scorp's crazy world, the Lynch Mob records, ..........so you see why I ended up with a SLO100!

Uli loves him as well..strangely enough!

As much as I love Uli Roth and his tone. I never thought I could plug into his sound and be cool..but ya never know.
