I think COC are done.
Too bad cuz I like Pepper's vocals way better than Phil's.

That tone kinda sounds 5150-ish ala Heartwork ear Carcass / early Arch Enemy, or even Mike Amott's Spiritual Beggers stuff to my ears. Yeah I know he's playin Down..just sayin'.Last edited by horns666; 11-13-2008, 03:17 PM."Bill, Smoke a Bowl and Crank Van Halen I, Life is better when I do that"

How did you get that slight delay on the right side of the mix? Is that a doubled guitar part or effect?
Yeah, it's two tracks. One panned hard left, and one panned hard right. I couldn't hear the metronome all that well, so the tracks probably don't sync up all that well. I need to find some good backing tracks.

That is a ballsy Marshall tone..I could tell that could easily get into a Bruce Franklin, TROUBLE territoty with that sumbitch. You're almost there now..
Marshalls rule man. I re-tweaked my Bogner to emulate my Marshall rig. It's a beefed up, hairy version of it. Even with the Bogner's gain at 50%..it doesn't come close to the Marshall's crisp, definition..but it does have the low end "balls" Marshalls do kinda lack, in comparison. But I don't care much about "low end" these days..that th bass players role. I'm all about the right timbre, and mids to crunch the fuck out and "cut" for palm muting, and effortless, singing solos. That's where Marshalls truly OWN all IMO!!!!
It's full circle man. Marshalls are like the Harley Davidson of amps. Yeah there's so-called beefier, stronger, better built, faster, and yada yada yada like Big Dogs, CMCs, SAVs, and high dollar customs ect. My dad's been there done for 50+ years and went back where he started ..Harleys...The real deal. There's no substitute. especially with the competive factory options these days! Sure there's build quality shortcomings of HDs, ( like all machines) but nothing looks, sounds, and rides like a HD..it remains the standard for all "superior" knock offs..and they hold their value like no other..just like Marshalls do. No matter what models.
I think this is a perfect anaolgy IMO. They are investments that bring years of joy and get your money back whenever you wish..as long as you take care of them. It's money in the bank..you'' never take a beating or a major loss!
As far as mere loos..nothings better than Marshall stacks and Harleys..they are the tried and true american standards! TIMELESS!!!
I'm fuggin' floatin'..time to eat!!!"Bill, Smoke a Bowl and Crank Van Halen I, Life is better when I do that"
