  • Ok tone guru's... what is the basics to Satch's tone?

That compressed liquid smooth sustaining tone? It also seems to have
allot of noise suppression too? Where it's dead silent, until you play. As in "Mystical Potato head groove thing"...
    or Back too Shalaball...
Anyway... a "Chain" of the 5 or 6 effects (in order) first to last would be big time appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Have you seen the new Satchurator pedal?

Maybe that would get you sounding close.

According to interviews, for Surfing With The Alien he used a Chandler TubeDriver rack, a Crybaby, and a Kramer Stagemaster.

Im uploading a youtube vid (fully clothed!!) ...of a patch ive been working on for 3 hours
on the GT-10... I would appreciate YOUR feedback? I should have it
here by morning anyway.. It's full...Limiter, Phaser, Comp,a touch of synth for sustain..(this alone is cool, as i can now mimic a PC-1 without
the sustainer pup!) Anyway, i used the Boss preamp, and set the gain
low with more limiter and compressor output.. Let me know?

** This morning i realise that i better take 1/2 that gain away... way too much

Stagemaster? Wow I hadn't heard that. That's pretty ironic because Ibanez put out those surfing with the alien anniversary guitars.

Here what im after... Ceasar nails it, but i know he has a ton of rack gear... so who knows.
Wish i could play like him too! :-((

+1, I'm amazed at all the criticism he gets.

a bit too much compression, delay and gain in that clip. You want to hear more of the amp a lot less effects

Its hard to tell from the video camera's sound-capture. You need more of the high mids. lower bass, a little more delay. From what I could hear...
