Thanks for the opinions. Picked up a JVM 2channel/50watt 1x12 combo tonight. Was just what I was looking for. Really like the clean channel too.

For what its worth, he's in three bands and plays out with them often without a glich..and he's owned, played 5150s, Engls, Framus, Deizel, and my Uber...ect.

I really get along with the JVM, and like it alot. I would consider buying a nice used one. I wished they included the built-in noise gate that's on the KK Model...it really works well, and the JVM's high gain channel can certainly use it. But It has all the gain and girth you'll need, and the cleans sound decent.

I think it's the best SOUNDING Marshall head to date..for my needs anywhoo.

BTW I've been married for 21 years and married to my Marshall stacks for 13 years...I'm still happy with both of 'em.
**Wow, you got married at 9? (Future consideration for ass kissin',
as i will have many more stupid questions! )

Call it a "mutual respect" kinda thing..
He TURNED DOWN a spot in Nevermore?!! Who in the right mind would do such a thing. I'd kill a man with my bear hands to get that offer.

Well knowing John, he has three things going already, one with Tim Owens, and wants to do a solo album. Jeff will prolly do a guest solo on it maybe even me, and some other friends..they've been friends for a while. Playing with Ripper does have its benefits. But honestly, I think he feels he's he's not good enough for NM. Kinda like when Jack Frost was in Savatage..but in contrast Jack inisted he was good enough while they were kicking him out for Al Petrelli. Jack is a nice guy, but not the caliber of Petrelli. It's a small world, Ripper, John, Nevemore and Jon Oliva, are all good freinds that toured together. So my anology must be pretty spot on...I think.

Comprix really isn't quite good enough to be in nevermore, unless they're looking for a rythm guitar...

Frost isn't good enough to be in Savatage either, haha...

Both are nice guys, which probably gets them where they get to go.

You've got bear hands? Just what kind of a bear are you; grizzly, polar? Nah, you must be a koala with little hands if you can play a guitar. :ROTF:
