I had a Full Shred once in the bridge position of a Rhoads and yanked it out. I thought it was too weak for a bridge pickup, same problem with the Pearly Gates too. My current favorite seems to be the Tone Zone, I agree with Rupe, its pretty big sounding. Nothing wrong with a JB either as this pickup usually does cut through pretty good. There are lots of good pickups, I've used the Screamin Demon, Custom Custom, Distortion for Duncans and PAF Pro, Super Distortion for Dimarzios. I'm still partial to the Tone Zone currentlyRudy

Sounds wrong, but an X2N matched to a mahogany body just rips!
You'll cut through alright.
Keep it 3/8" away from the strings, and use your volume control.
You will likey.
"Wow,... that was some of the hardest rockin ever. Hardest to listen too."

I would have thought someone would have mentioned an Evo by now?!

Quite a few dimarzio's in there, but they are mainly in black in the UK and are more money than SD's.
I've had a Breed before in the KE3, instead of the detonator and it really sounded good.
I fancy white bobbins because the guitar is white with a black pickguard with black pups at present, a white humbucker would contrast nicely.
I'm still undecided
And if you don't want to spend £60, take a look at the Bill Lawrence USA 500XL. I have one in my Concept and it's well worth the money. You can get them from Banjomikez on ebay, he sends to the UK and is a good guy.

Well i've made a decision because thinking it over is doing my head in, so now i can sleep at night haha
Totally gone for something else in the end and ordered a white DP159F Evo. which will be here thursday!
I remember a while back borrowing a friends epiphone sg400 that had an evo in and that sounded sweet.
