    Germino Club 40

    One of the best guitar players I know (and most picky about his tone for the past 20 years) loves these things.
    Anyone else know about them?

    I bought my first Boogie from him, since back in 1987, since it wasn't quite the tone he was searching for.

    He's a BIG Eric Johnson fan, if that gives you an idea of his holy grail tone.

    I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has one.

    I'm not so sure about the carbon composition resistor myth/voodoo.
    Those caps are ok, but no better than Mallory 150's.
    I have swapped caps and resistors on my builds, and they are either good, or not...
    there's a lot of funny stuff floating around.

    I like the build style, nice and clean.

          The sound clips don't do anything for me. Nothing I can't get with my Boss GT-8.
          The build quality is neat but the electronics are nothing to write home about. '
          In a word...... OK.
