In my 33 years of playing and collecting axes and amps...
    I have owned 2 Hiwatts,both 100w heads,loved them both.
also, have owned 1 Sound City head(courtesy of Rick Nielson of Cheap Trick)...it also ruled.

I want a Hiwatt so bad it's not even funny. In fact I'm trying to move a few items so I can afford one even as we speak.

Original vintage dr103 here, fucking massive amp head. Tough to see all these high gain heads as ball tearers when you've cranked one of them up full ball in a living room

ahh so there are hiwatt fans out there after all! nice one,

I love these amps, I think they are awesome, the newer Hi Gain models rock and I think they are a fitting follow on from the vintage amps...

they are a bit pricey though...

Speaking of pricey, i was hoping to buy a Blackstar head until I saw the price that is...

unbelievable how expensive these are.. they are priced in the boutique amp range... really disappointing...

oh, and its bloody hot down here... about 35deg C and 70% humidity

"Now remember, things look bad and it looks like you're not gonna make it, then you gotta get mean. I mean plumb, mad-dog mean. 'Cause if you lose your head and you give up then you neither live nor win. That's just the way it is. ":JOSEY WALES
