www.chappellamps.com makes some seriously nice amps...starting around 800 and going up from there...i have one of his 2w amps and it sounds beautifu as it looks.

Those prices are about right, too. Actually cheap for handwired.

Serious question:
Which is more important to most folks?
Effects loop, or two channels?
Both are about the same price to build.

Tube watts are loud, even if it's just a one-watt amp.

My 0.5 watt is loud and will push a 4x12
