I'll tell you what bro...
Send me a check for $1200, I'll send you an amp, if it doesn't work for you, tell me so and I'll send a call tag to pick it up. In the meantime, the check doesn't leave my hands, if you decide to keep it, I cash the check. You have 48hrs from the time stamp on delivery to make a decision.
The ONLY string I have with this deal, is it MUST come back to me in the SAME condition it was shipped/received in if you choose to send it back (which I seriously doubt)
Up for it?

The Uber is the most unforgiving amp I've ever owned or played in my life...maybe I should check into those Engls."Bill, Smoke a Bowl and Crank Van Halen I, Life is better when I do that"
Donnie Swanstrom 01/25/06..miss ya!

That is damn good advice bro!!
IMO, I'd use a very clean amp and a few Boss Metal Zones..depending how much distortion you need. If it's not brutal enough, just add another Metal Zone. Once I got the best heavy metal tone ever achieved by man by slamming a bass amp with 6 Boss Metal Zones. The rythm tone was a tad "fizzy" but cleaned up nicely when I rolled my guitar's volume back.
The best part is you can run them in the front or the loop or both..the possibilities are endless. I don't know why this isn't suggested more often."Bill, Smoke a Bowl and Crank Van Halen I, Life is better when I do that"

well, i personally, would recommend the rivera M100. it sounds like a really good combo of a modded marshall with a little boogie MK series (think MK1, 2, 3 - NOT 4) thrown in. the amp is very unforgiving, the tone is thick but clear, and you have 2 midrange setting to use. the mid control has a push/pull "notch filter" that changes the center frequency for the mids between 500 khz and 250 khz. combine that with focus and presence controls and you have a versatile lead channel.
for rythym, i assume you mean the clean channel? if so, the rivera has one of the best. again, it has that notch filter, along with a bright switch and a bass boost switch. it also has a boost switch that enables you to drive the preamp harder giving the amp more of vox/matchless cranked distorted sound.
the best part is that they are very reasonable to buy used. it is NOT a modern metal amp though. it's tones are clearly rooted in late 70's to mid 80's metal sounds, but on steroids. a few examples would be:
the scorpions (rudolph schenker used riveras from "world wide live" up through "eye to eye"
saigon kick
skid row "slave to the grind"
ted nugent on the first "damn yankees"
michael schenker used them in the mid 80's
but if you are looking to do the super bass'ed guitar tone, then the rivera m100 won't work for you. in that case, you might want to look at the rivera KHR100.GEAR:
some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!
some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!
and finally....
i have those little plastic "chips" used to hit the strings...WHOA!!!!

If you are ever on the east coast I have an mid 80's jcm800 50watt lead and the Soldano hot mod that does a convincing thrash metal as well as a amazing solo/yngwie tone. if you want versatility the MTS is hard to beat if you really want the Yngwie thing then a old crusty marshall is in your cards. Of course a Boogie IIc+ rocks as well (glad I have all
