I'm not sure how long it is till I buy, it could be fairly soon or it could be a while. I'm going to take everyone's advice here when looking for a setup. I will look at those Randalls if I can find them, most places around here don't stock Laney and I've never really been too fond of their tone.

You can get that by adding a Boss GE-7 EQ pedal. Put it in the chain instead of the loop and it'll also act as a nice boost.

The rythm tone was a tad "fizzy" but cleaned up nicely when I rolled my guitar's volume back.

The best part is you can run them in the front or the loop or both..the possibilities are endless. I don't know why this isn't suggested more often.

I'm going to be hitting up some guitar center, sam ash, carvin, and mesa, soon. I found a way for funding an amp, I just need to find the right one. I'm going to definitely give those Randall's a try if I can find one, I'd really love a fucking marshall (they're selling for so damn cheap used!), and I would cream myself for a Mesa Mark IV... But that price is pretty steep.

Since we're bringing out our special stuff here...

You need this preamp (it's BillZ favorite):

And this helps me a lot...

dude, all kinds of used Mark III's go anywhere from 500 to 1000 bucks, the rarer ones are a bit more, good price, less options but better tone than IV, for a furious lead guitarists MK3 is one of the best things ever made in my opinion, gotta dial it the right waythough, but very unforgiving and sensitive

Too funny!!! I had some odd feeling of connecting you to that for some reason.

Love it! And the Shi-tone, haha.... Good work! I made the JMP-1 but, that 's it.

VHT of some sort. Very unforgiving but rewards good playing with great tone.

Try a Carvin V3. I have one and i love it. You can try it out for 10 days and if you don't like it they'll give you your money back.
If you do try one be aware the presence knob adds nothing but fizz, especially at low volume. And most people on the Carvin boards don't like to use V30's with it. I have the matching cab loaded with gt-75's.

Reminder: when you're checking out the Randall MTS stuf, AVOID the combos. Those sound like shit unless you plug them into a decent cab. I had an RM100 head which was fantastic. I later picked up a 50 watt 1x12 combo. It sounded really bad - I thought it was fucked up until I plugged it into one of my cabs. I swapped speakers in the amp as well - didn't help - farty low end. It's just a bad cabinet design - which is pretty wierd given that it looked like a pretty typical open back cab.

And whatever you do, don't buy modules new. They can be had dirt cheap used at the MTS forum and Ebay.
I want REAL change. I want dead bodies littering the capitol.
