Anyone here that has tried Damage Control pedals? I have bought the Demonizer, but it hasn't arrived yet. Yesterday I had a discussion with a fellow guitarplayer which was a bit sceptical to the pedals. What do you guys think? Good pedals?

      Not promising...

Metal(but no cookie monster stuff), I bought the solid metal pedal too. the demonizer I think is hotter. Some people have said they had to put a OD in front of them to get the right distortion. I was looking for something like the line 6 uber pedal but with a tube tone to it. If it wasn't so expensive I would have kept it.(they're really big pedals by the way.

I saw the Solid Metal video on youtube. It was impressive.

I had a solid metal for a very short time. It didn't seem very tweakable to me in that I didn't notice much of a change in sound with different settings. It didn't necessarily sound bad, it was just all or nothing. I had my main head in the shop and needed more gain for a show with my backup at the time being a Univalve. Used it for 2-3 rehearsals and 1 show and then sold it. The boost was a cool function, but I wasn't really that impressed. Hope your experience is better than mine!

I've heard good things about this stompbox before I bought it. Hopefully I'll like the sound.

How does one go about retuning these for heaviness?

I've heard mixed reviews about them and haven't felt the need to try them.
I did, however, have an AMT Extreme III pedal that was awesome and had plenty of gain.

                        Call Dave Wireman at effectspedalboutique.com

I have a double sided SD808 pedal from him that kills anything else I have ever heard including the infamous Fulltone OCD

Tell him what you want and he will make it for you cheaper than most other manufacturers that I have seen.

Now I've gotten the pedal and I've tested it and I think it's a good pedal. I don't need more than this. I wouldn't pay the full price though. I got it under half price.
It gives you a decent amount of drive, but you need help from both the compressor and the "Nuclear" switch. But with a little tweaking, you get a nice metal tone, and it cleans down when roll off the volume.
                          New pedal in the house!!
