I tried it out yesterday, and it sounded so good, it was bugging me all night, so I went back today and got it. It's in super minty condition.

I'm using a 2X12 with V30s, and it sounds much more balanced than it did through a 1960a cab at the store (g12t75s). Still, personal preference counts for a lot too.
You should put up some clips.Scott

Anyone wanna trade me a couple of 16 ohm V30s for 8 ohm V30s?

Congrats! I used to have the 1x12 F-30 and really liked it, but wound up selling it. I would love to pick up the head version some day.
BTW, 8-ohm out of the amp into a 16-ohm cab is a "safe mismatch" for a Mesa amp.

I'm going to install a switch in the back of the cab so I can switch it between 4 and 16 ohm.

There's something I've always said about Mesas that holds true for this amp. It's very difficult to get a bad tone out of a Mesa. You'd really have to make a deliberate effort.
