I have decided that that I want to get either a splawn Quickrod, Mesa mk iv or v, and might even consider to spend a little extra $ and get a uberschall. I play tech thrash, old skool metal, and neoclassical. I realize these amps are quite differant beasts but they all seem to sound good from the clips I could probebly go yo wild west guitars and play a uberschall or splawn but i don't know wher I could find a mk iv/v. Wich amp would you suggest.

I have an Uberschall and it is a killer amp! IMHO it is THE amp for heavy Rock. The distortion channel is second to none. Te clean channel isn't too bad but it has a volume mismatch with the high gain channel. You really have to crank the clean channel volume to use it live along with the distortion channel. There is a newer version out or about to be released if its not out yet, I heard it at NAMM back in January. The differences between it and the one I have is they added a couple presence type knobs for the clean channel and the power tubes are 6550 instead of the current EL34's. Either version sounds great! I've seen some good deals on E-Bay on used Ubers within the last few months. You coould probably save $700-800 over buying new. I bought mine new but todays used prices are very tempting!Rudy

One thing about Mesa is the kick ass customer service and the 5 year warranty.
Within an hour after getting my Roadster combo home I called Mesa and was instantly connected with one of their amp guys to go over some of the specific features and how to best utilize them with my other gear and to answer some general questions too.Jackson KV2

Splawn is gonna cover your style better than any mentioned.
the mark 4 has to be turned up too loud to sound good
the bogner will be too dark for your style.
both the mesa and bogner are voiced for Vin 30's, what you are looking to do needs G12T-75's or speakers of similar ilk (G12M, G12H, G12-65).
