I jgot back from the gig. The amp was killer. It took me less than 5 minutes to dial in a clean, heavy rhythm and lead tone. I didn't even use my volume pedal. I used the Blackface for clean, the Recto for rhythm and the XTC for solo's. It worked out great. I put a Yamaha SPX90II delay in the parrallel loop and it worked perfectly. My tone was totally killer.

The question is did your bandmates do a facepalm when you showed up with a new head?

This just confirms that I love the Recitifer tone.
What amazes me so far about the RM100 is how accurate the preamps sound to the original amps. The Blackface really does sound and feel like a Fender. The Rectifier is tight with big bottom and the XTC is pure ecstacy to play guitar solo's through.
The notes jump out in the mix and the sustain is outstanding. I especially like how the amp responds to rolling the guitar volume down.
It was an instant hit and it took minutes to dial in. I just used base line average settings on all of the modules.

They told me I was completely insane. I told them that even thought the Trademark 300 is a great amp.. really great... this one is even greater and when I get tired of it I can get different modules and turn it into a different amp.
I really want to try the SL+ mod and the 1086 Mailman Mod that Pete does. I also heard a clip of the AC30 Vox with Top Boost and its really outstanding.
This Randall MTS series is really incredible. I can't believe I never tried one before. Extremely high quality boutique tones.

            John,

I told you that you'd love the amp. So, do you think this ones a keeper?

I just need to hire a fulltime roadie to carry that head. Holy crap is it heavy.
Pete, its a great amp. Now wonder so many pro's use it. Its literally the talk of the forum over at Grailtone for years now!!
Its awesome. After one live gig I can't find a single weakness in it.

              Its also completely silent.

Another think I would like to mention.... I would overall rate the tone of this amp as it stands with Blackface, Recto and XTC modules in it as better sounding than any amp I have ever owned.... and I have owned a "few" amps. ...lol...

You described the tone of the recto module as tight. I do not consider rectos tight at all. Would this make the module an improvement over the real recto?

Yes... this is what a rectifier is supposed to sound like. Palm muting is tight and focused yet is sounds just like a Dual Rectifier. The cool think is that its not a model of a rectifier... its the real thing... only better. Completely silent too. No hiss at all. The XTC is a great compliment to it.

These sound so amazing. I can have a fender clean sound modded Marshall and a xtc. I tried one b4 and it didnt sound great I forgot wich module I played but I didn't get to turn it up loud at all. I don't want gas again I thought my splawn was going to solve that. If I could get fender clean. Splawn rythem and Herbert lead I'd be sold but they don't make the second 2.

There are people who mod modules as well as build new module based on "boutique" amps. I know that Pete (twisteramps) does a Mesa Mark series and Salvation does a Framus Cobra, so there may be new modules that will come up to meet your needs.

I've been offline for a few days, wish I saw this thread earlier. I have several amps you mentioned including the RM100. Its easy to dial in and its loop is much friendlier than my Bogner Uberschall's loop. I use the Blackface module for clean and mainly the XTC for everything else. I also have stock as well as Pete modded XTC and SL+ modules. Pete does fantastic work on these. The RM100 is an addiction with those modules, I have Brown, 1086, Clean, Tweed, Vox, Ultra, Ultra Lead, Recto (now called Treadplate), Mr. Scary. You just keep collecting them.

I have a Lynch Box, which is basically a RM100 with EL34s and a few tweaks. Love it. I have been using it in rehearsals the last few weeks. It is amazingly silent. I am running a KH2, Mr Scary and Super V. Looking at picking up a 1087 at some point.

Its so silent I didn't even think it was on. Also... even at extremely low volume... dare to say... bedroom levels, it sounds amazing, thick with tons of tone.
I really was blown away within 5 minutes. My bandmates were really digging it. Many people at the gig said it was the best guitar tone I have ever had and believe me... I have had "several".
I want to get all the Lynchbox modules and throw EL34's in it and take it for a spin... DOKKEN style.
I also can't wait to take the SL+ for a test drive. This amp sounds even better than all the clips online.
