  • The Midi board on mine had a problem right away. The warranty service replaced the board and I haven't had a problem since.

    • Bought the Axe-FX Ultra...sounds as good as any tube amp that I've played, and responds dynamically just like a tube amp. Add effects that rival the best that TC and Eventide have to offer and the decision becomes a complete no-brainer. This thing is like magic in a 2 rack space box, and I haven't even scratched the surface yet. Combined with a GCPro and a FBT Verve 12ma powered monitor I have all the flexability and control that I could ever dream of along with enough power to peel paint if I need it, yet super light weight and portable for gigging and requires next to no maintenance. Clearly the next step in the evolution of guitar amplification...if you haven't tried one yet I highly recommend that you do.

      • I don't need to hear that Rupe I've heard all the clips on RT for a few months now and a lot of them sound killer. That was why I suggested it when you were askin about a new rig...even if you didnt like the amp sims, the effects are excellent. I love one just for killer, no hasstle direct to PC recording...

I bought my Randall RM100 and all my MTS modules used about 4 years ago. I've re-tubed it once and thats all the maintainance I've done to it. No breakage so far and I gigged out with it as well as used it at practice. It always rides to/from gigs in a road case. I also bought within the last few months a Randall RM4 and RT2/50 for a rack setup. That was purchased used as well. No problems so far

          • I've owned several MTS heads, haven't had a problem with any of them other than the connectors coming loose on one that that was shipped to me in a box that looked like it had been run over several times.

Axe FX is a killer piece. I've run mine with a QSC HPR121i and right now with a VHT 2/90/2 power amp into a bogner or '76 Marshall cab w/blackbacks. KILLER TONES!

I bought an early Uberschall, should have it in a few days. Hm, wonder what module I'm going to work up next?
