Can I run the output of the effects loop on my amp (ie alchemist, nomad, blues deluxe) directly into the input of my computers soundcard without jacking anything up ? I have a Creative X-Fi Elite card. Previously recorded with the POD, but never an amp into the soundcard. Seems like it would work OK but want to be sure (dont feel like buying another soundcard).

as long as you don't clip the levels on the way in it will work. but probably not sound so good. -
It'll work fine, just make sure you go into the Line input and not the Mic input on the card.
As for the sound quality, it won't sound the same through your PC speakers as it will through the amp's cabinet, but it will sound like the preamp stage of the amp itself.I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood
