Trouble have done a lot of cool stuff. However, IMO, "Manic Frustration" is their best album by far. It's a lot more straightforward than their earlier stuff, and it delivers a good dose of ass-kickage.
I've only had the 2 older Trouble albums (bought the casette of Trouble - Trouble when it came out and The Skull I found at a used CD place years later). I think I downloaded the Manic Frustration and the last one they did but don't recall the songs on them at all.
I saw them live at LiveStock (I forget the year but guessing it was 1992 or 1993?) which was Florida's version of Woodstock. Not sure if that is still going on, but in the swampland of Zephyrhills, FL and the food and drunkeness and drugs galore it was a wonder I even remember it. It was also the year there was a porn star in one tent and she was doing a gangbang and I believe her name was Houston. I never researched it beyond that to find out if it was legit or just some skank that wanted sex from anyone and everyone. In any event, Trouble kicked ass and after the influence of questionable things they sounded downright scary especially the super long haired guy, damn he seemed like an evil version of Mick Mars up there, only he could play heavy shit.
Yes, Trouble is a Christian band. Just like Black Sabbath... You've heard After Forever, right? And Megalomania? Oh, they've got a bunch of "Christian" songs.
Oh yeah, Metallica is a Christian band, too, because they use some biblically-inspired lyrics... Phantom Lord, The Four Horsemen, Creeping Death, etc... Didn't you know, that Hetfield and Ulrich and the gang started Metallica to bring God's word to thrash metal heads everywhere?!?
I don't intend any offense to any highly religious people, I am not really a religious person myself, but I don't mind "good" Christian rock bands that at least aren't so "in your face" about the whole Jesus thing.
I mean, if that's what you want, then cool, but I can't stand to listen to it, there's no creativity whatsoever. Even AC/DC uses similies/metaphors/puns etc., i.e. "We're rising, falling like the sea/You're looking so good under me" rather than "I put my penis in a woman's vagina and I enjoyed it very much, and hope I will be having sex with a woman again very soon."
Anyway, so I think it's higly questionable whether Trouble was a "Christian" band, they themselves didn't really consider themselves a Christian metal band, just not satanic. Not satanic does not equal Christian. Using biblical references in your songs does not make a Christian band. At least to me. Unless the band says that's their intent.
