  • VH to tour in 2010

According to their manager they are, but with all things VH you have to take it with a grain of salt. No mention of new music but it's just a snippet of info.

They're letting the public know early so that savings accounts can be built to be able to afford the 2010 tix prices VH will charge.....how thoughtful.

yeah, no shit. its not just them, obvioiusly. I will be skipping the ac dc show here- $90.50 plus your $14 tickASSmaster fee. No thanks. Ill just go get vh at the us festival 1983....
Its a complete catastrophe. But Im a professional, I can rise above it. LOL

i'm a huge VH fan, but i dont think seeing them live now would do their music justice, i would still love to go along at whatever insane price they'd be charging (if they even play uk..) but i kinda have the feeling it would just be quite dissapointing

If it were VH, I would want to see it. But...it will probably be the Eddie tour with sideshow Alex and sideshow Wolfgang. Maybe Gary Cherone will sing.

Like I've said before, EVH is all about making money, not making new music.

who the hell wants to hear new music anyway?!
and as for being about the money.. who gives a crap really?!?!
the only time being only about the money is a bad thing is when artists sell out and make bad music to keep up with the current scene.
all EVH is doing is releasing merch and maybe doing these shows, and what the hell is wrong with that?!

the fact that the shows are shit and you never get what you pay for? that's considering, they actually PLAY the show
You can't play no muthfuggin' arpeggios on a tuba...

Yep, some of those older concerts boots including US festival 83 is the better way to really enjoy a good rockin VH show.
They've done some killer shows years ago that's out there to check out and enjoy.

Other wise any newer shows or tours are just too risky.
Not really sure if they'll play a full set these days.
Yeah, viewing an older concert boot is the better way to go with VH.

Also, ticket prices have been ridiculous in the last couple of years or so.
I don't have that kind of loyalty.

50-60 dollars a ticket to see a concert?
Cmon, show me some loyalty! How about some decent music first to convince me your still worth attending a show. I'm sure not gonna cough up 50-60+ dollars to watch somebody play the old stuff and no new tunes mixed in with it. Not gonna happen.

Dear God man, have some sense!
I know I'm not always the sharpest tool in the shed but I'm not gonna just throw my money away foolishly like that.

Like me and the wife for instance.
Spend a weekend in the big city shopping and eating at nice places, staying in a nice 4-5 star hotel and enjoy each other like to High School kids in love.
That's money well spent. I'll gladly give up my money to do that.

But to pay 50-60+ dollars a pop to see a band that's notoriously known these days not finishing a tour let alone a set list, a show.
Don't mean to offend anyone but I'll pass on that.
My money is more important to me than to take such a risk, too risky.
Peace, Love and Happieness and all that stuff...

"Anyone who tries to fling crap my way better have a really good crap flinger."

I personally do not care how it was built as long as it is a good playing/sounding instrument.

Yes, there's a bee in the pudding.

Exactly. I saw them on the last tour and Ed was noticably drunk. I walked out early I was so disappointed. I have no problem whatsoever with partying, but when people are paying $100+ to see your band, have a little respect and put on a good show.

He's supposedly sober now so maybe he can get back to his old ways. The thing that bothers me the most is that the only thing that comes out of his mouth these days is marketing hype about a new signature piece of gear he's selling, not stuff about guitar playing or new music. Its all about the almighty dollar. Its so bad I wonder if Sharon Osbourne has been managing the band lately.

$60.00 a ticket... I wish...saw them in 07' in Montreal that was $140.00canadian a ticket, worth it to see Dave back in the line-up (he is truely priceless on stage). the sound sucked. I'd pay 140.00 again if Mike comes back. the full original line-up

That's what happened to me in 2004....after driving over six hours one way. He was in the wrong key 30 seconds into the first song,,,,and it only got worse. Won't happen again, cuz I ain't going. It's not VH to me anyway, anymore. Lost a lot of respect for Eddie also,,,,,you'd never see this disgrace at a show with Vai, Malmsteen, Satch, Beach, Demartini, etc. To me,,,he drove his once world class, highly regarded band and brand straight into the ground. It's just a messy collaboration of people coming in and out, and streaks of embarrassing shows due to his demons and inability to work with others. I can't believe his brother puts up with it and follows his destructive decisions. I think something went seriously wrong , mentally, with him. It's sad.

Nothing is wrong with it. It's free enterprise to attempt to make as much $ as you can and I'm all for it. I for one still won't be going because I just cannot justify me paying what today's tix prices have become.
