ya I guess megadeths vids have always been silly but I thought peace sells and holy wars were some pretty cool vids. Its just when you think of a thrash band you wouldnt think of a vid like this

The Holy Wars and Peace Sells vids weren't silly at all. Some like Sweating Bullets on the other hand..

It's funny, Dave is clearly better at singing now a days but I cannot stand it. It makes it sound too popish and mellow. I know most people cringe but I'd prefer to hear Peace Sells style Vox or Sweating Bullets over this anyday. You can tell Chris toned himself down after Dave asked him to, he's not nearly as big as he was a couple months ago but he's still got some fucking guns on him.

Good marketing and good business to generate interest.
This will help sell some CD's and tickets and potentially add to a low American fan base.
From what I've heard and come to understand Megadeth does very well in CD and ticket sales across sea's?
It's just here in America where the sales and fan base has slumped.

Suse I totally agree with you I loved when dave couldnt sing. It just sounded more raw and awsome

I liked it, and the song, great crushing riff starting at 2:35, video had a cool plot and exciting action, was a little too slick though, I don't understand you haters

Which is sillier... 1) a thrash metal band releasing a "silly" video that's nevertheless entertaining or 2) a thrash metal band that takes itself too seriously.

Personally I think 2) is worse by a wide margin.

Of course, depends on how they are being "serious"

I thought it was a ridiculous video, but that has become the norm for Megadeth. When you look back at their older videos, most of them are pretty silly.

I'm still looking forward to the album, though. UA could have been good, but the guitar work seemed below Megadeth standards to me.
