I love how idiots miss the point being made and find it hilarious.
Deicide were used to benchmark heavy metal in my post - Extreme were never as heavy as Deicide, so why does anyone care that he's not in a metal band now?
That was my point.
BTW I actually own an Extreme album on vinyl. It was shit.
OK...now I got it. That said, the name calling was completely unnecessary to get your point across...you pussy
see, I have trouble believing this. MartinBarre1 has already stated that not only is Rihanna's music crap, her entire band is too. And as Scotland's premiere Phil Collins impersonator, he knows show biz.
Hang on, I don't remember saying her band were shit!
And calling me "Scotland's premiere Phil Collins impersonator" is a bit much FFS. I only do it as a hobby, there's loads of guys better than me at it.
Was that around the time you were recording with Billy Ocean? Is that why you're so bitter now?
Don't forget The Fat Boys, Lloyd Price, Ben-E-King and Brenda Reed. I played for them too. I had to quit metal and pretty much gave up all my street cred at the time. It took me YEARS to get back into a metal band after that stint at Power Play Studio's. At the time I was in a metal band who was touring opening up for Twisted Sister and Zebra all over the tri-state area. I quit that band and sold out to the rap/dance/top 40 gigs hoping to make it that way. I then started my own metal band after that didn't work out and it took me years to get my reputation back. YEARS.
I still catch crap about it 22 years later.

Just a guess but I'm thinking Nuno will bounce back a with just a bit more ease

No offence John, but that was funny. Anyone who would begrudge me any street credibilty for who I played for or what kind of music it was wouldn't be worth the sweat off of my balls anyway. Just my 2 cents. I play what I want, for who I want, whenever I want. Any one who says thats selling out or otherwise is simply ignorant. I wouldn't look back at your history as a musician with any regret.

Yea.. Nuno is slightly better and more famous than I will probably ever be although at 48 years old I am still going after it hot and heavy both live and in the studio. I am still as hungry as ever. I just eat more now!!
I am sure Nuno doesn't give a rat about his rep. My point is that if it was 20 years ago he would be catching major crap from every direction.
He doesn't have any "cred" with the metal audience. Not that he gives a shit, but that was kinda the point of some of the posts here.
He's as gay as he ever was, or will be. Amen.

So if Nuno is "gay" because he is not in a "metal" band, what does that make someone who fronts a Phil Collins cover band? Because as we all know, Phil Collins is not "metal". Next thing you know you'll be calling Alex Skolnick gay for leaving Testament for his jazz trio, SRV gay because he only played in a blues/rock band, etc. If you don't like Nuno or appreciate his talent, just say so. Calling him gay because you don't like his music is, well, GAY....for lack of a better word. Also we all know Jethro Tull is "metal", hell they won a grammy for being so "metal" back in 1989, ha ha, please...
