Don't forget The Fat Boys, Lloyd Price, Ben-E-King and Brenda Reed. I played for them too. I had to quit metal and pretty much gave up all my street cred at the time. It took me YEARS to get back into a metal band after that stint at Power Play Studio's. At the time I was in a metal band who was touring opening up for Twisted Sister and Zebra all over the tri-state area. I quit that band and sold out to the rap/dance/top 40 gigs hoping to make it that way. I then started my own metal band after that didn't work out and it took me years to get my reputation back. YEARS.
I still catch crap about it 22 years later.

Just my 2 cents. I play what I want, for who I want, whenever I want. Any one who says thats selling out or otherwise is simply ignorant. Yea.. Nuno is slightly better and more famous than I will probably ever be although at 48 years old I am still going after it hot and heavy both live and in the studio. I am still as hungry as ever. I just eat more now!!
