Personally i think Nuno did his best work after Extreme especially his mourning widows stuff round 2001, wasn't cheesy shit like extreme but a more raw & heavier sound Monkey Paw is probably the more tamer songs on the album http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILMy6...eature=related

There's nothing wrong with playing a well-paying gig like this. Besides, maybe he gets lucky and catches her on the rebound.
huge success means for me, that guitar hero brought them a whole lot of new young fans (there was "play with me" in one of the games as I was told) and at least on the concert I went to (essigfabrik cologne) the hall was filled with a very mixed group of fans. the new ones, as well as the old ones who might have seen them before around pornograffitti-days. and the crowd went pretty crazy. extreme had a whole lot of energy on stage, I was amazed as well.
the record sales are doing fine (if you believe in what they told us) and the merch sales were alright as well from what I can tell.
sure they won't repeat the more than words wonder anytime soon, but that's not the core of the extreme-fans anyway.
as I said, they're working on a new release and another tour next year, and I just wanted to state that they all might be doing better now than compared to with their solo projects (mourning widows, population 1, tribe of judas, etc... except of the annilator (?) guy maybe.
anyway, I just hope there's more to come, and I share you opinion; there's nothing wrong about a well paying gig.tremstick give-away (performer series trem)

I love how opinions are stated as if they are meaningful in some way...Deicide used to benchmark greatness ??? :ROTF:

Really? SRV with Bowie cost him credit? Greg Howe with MJ isn't cool?
I gotta tell ya, if that kind of gig loses you street cred, sign me up!
And BTW, how can you "crucify" a guy for doing a gig! It's his JOB!!!!! Have you liked every job you've ever had? You can't always have the coolest gig, record the best record, or make the most money. Good, bad or indifferent, that's just the way it is! Folks, we're just playing MUSIC. That's it! There are only two kinds, the kind you like and the kind you don't. If you dig it FINE, if not FINE! There's no reason to be a jerk about it. When I was seventeen, I probably would have reacted the same way most of you are right now. Fellas, it's not 1991. You should all now be eighteen years older, smarter, and more mature. It really shouldn't be a big deal.
I hate to be like this on my inaugural run but, I'll be willing to bet that the guys that are doing the true bashing here have never solely depended on the guitar for their living. If you had, you'd understand. I do play guitar for a living. I want a T-shirt that says,"You payin'? I'm playin'!" I've had GREAT gigs that I LOVE and thought were REALLY cool! And, I have gigs that were awful and didn't tell anyone I was doing. But, those same gigs paid for my car, house, food, clothes, gear, etc... Get the picture? Be happy for a fellow guitar player! He's WORKING!!!!!Last edited by RT1MX; 12-23-2009, 01:26 AM.

You have to forgive some of the members here who live in the USSR, where musicians dont have the right to play without approval first. Don't even get them started on Metallica changing their style without first asking for approval.................

Metal was just getting pussified when Anthrax and Slayer started playing pop tunes.
I am talking about the days when there were 2 types of clubs. Rock clubs and disco's. Metal dudes didn't go to disco's. Guido's didn't go to metal clubs. We all thought Madonna was hot but none of us wanted to be in her band.
