  • WASP- Crazy

Am not and have never been a big WASP fan. Heard this on Eddie Trunk last night while working out. Off their new album Babylon (released Sept). Pretty hooky, good running/riding/driving with the top down fast tune.

There's a video of them doing the tune live in Stockholm too. Dude brings it at his shows imo based on that clip.

Sounds like a remake of Wild Child...

I've got a copy of the album, yet I found only a couple songs I like on it, including "Crazy". W.A.S.P seem to keep using the same/similar riffs not just on this album, but previous recent albums, and I just get bored of these cheesy resurrection type songs. I prefer W.A.S.P in the 80's, specifically the "Headless Children" album.

Agreed, except Wild Child was better. I like this, and I was a huge WASP fan back in the day, but why would you want to repackage excellence?

I guess so. I don't begrudge them their glory days, hell I was right there with them up until the Still Not Black Enough album, I kinda lost track of em after that. The Last Command was by far their best work from anything back then and anything to date that I'd heard. Electric Circus wasn't bad but started the down hill slide. But you just can't beat stuff like this....

The video for the song Wild Child! It rocks the hell out of ya!

The Headless Children was the only WASP album that I thought kicked ass all the way through. My friend had an Animal - I Fuck Like A Beast picture disc that got some good playing time.

Headless Children was ok. I liked Thunderhead off that album alot, The drums were insane! Animal was just a good novelty song. I had that same picture disk.

I love the Headless album, but the production is awful - people moan about '...And Justice For All' having no balls, but Headless is just horrible...

I have the re-release Animal picture disc with the woman being fucked by a dog. Not sure if that was a euro/UK only release though...

Vintage WASP is so kick ass. Simple yet just plain rowdy rock n roll.

Inside the Electric Circus was B.A.D.

I love everything else up to and including The Crimson Idol, and there are some really good tracks after that, along with many rehashed efforts.

They might be struggling to come up with anything new or original, but they're still one helluva live band - saw them last Nov and it was one of the best gigs I been to it the 30 years I've been going to concerts.

They just seem to come alive when on stage and have more power and stage presence than a lot of bands. I saw Motorhead a few weeks earlier and was, frankly, disappointed.

I've seen both WASP and Motorhead live more than once, and was never disappointed .
