the solo section in "the real world" of gamma ray's "awesome foursome" live album gets me going. the solo in "got to be free" from the scorpions album "taken by force" is another that i love. of course, the lead in "rock bottom" from UFO's "phenomenon" album is killer. the solo in night ranger's "rocking america" is pretty awesome....

i can think of tons, but those are the immediate ones that come to mind.

Dream Theater-Wither. Not generally a typical Petrucci sounding solo. Sounds more like if Zakk Wylde actually knew what he was doing solo wise and Forsaken.

Those solos are great, and both Wither and Forsaken are my favorites off of the last two CDs.

Also, have always loved Van Halen's I'll Wait, as well as Kiss' Tears Are Falling.
