This is another great one...I think the main solo in that song is also pretty chilly!

Jon Levin on the last Dokken album. Note-for-note Lynch.
8 strings? Because 6 is too easy?

Perrenial Quest - Bobby Keobles - Death - Symbolic

Under a Glass Moon - Petrucci - Dream Theater - Images and Words

Where the Slime Live - Azagthoth - Morbid Angel - Domination

Agree about most of Loomis and also anything by Guthrie Govan.

              Marty Friedman goes without saying.

              Most recently

44 Minutes - Chris Broderick - Megadeth - Endgame either the 2nd or 3rd one it actually sounds similar to Freidman.

                      Agree with quite a few of these already but also;
The Forgotten (part 2) off flying in a blue dream by Satriani
The solo off Hellraiser - Ozzy (pinch harmonic intro off)
Lucretia - Megadeth (Marty's part) and the first 3 min of Five magics
The harmony solo near the end of Seventh son - Maiden

There are some killer leads on a lot of The Time's songs.
Check out Mother's Finest too.Moses Mo on the early stuff kicks ass,John Hayes on the newer stuff.
IM's stranger in a strange land is one that always gets me.

The solo on Steely Dan's "Peg". Can't remember the guy's name, but it's a jem. One of my all time favs. A perfect beginning, middle and end.

Ritchie Blackmore on Smoke on the Water - a lovely creation.

Any of Ralph Santolla's solos on Deicide's Stench of Redemption. Each one is pretty amazing.

Neil Young's one note solo on Cinnamon Girl. Never fails to make me smile. It's perfect.

Any of Muhammed Suicmez's solos on Necrophagist's Epitaph (and the solos of Christian Muenzner on that album are wonderful as well).

Brian May's solo in Killer Queen. Awesome. A miniature classical composition without flaw.

The solos of Mustaine and Friedman on Holy Wars/Punishmenet Due and Hangar 18 are faves as well.
