The solo on Steely Dan's "Peg". Can't remember the guy's name, but it's a jem. One of my all time favs. A perfect beginning, middle and end.

Ritchie Blackmore on Smoke on the Water - a lovely creation.

Any of Ralph Santolla's solos on Deicide's Stench of Redemption. Each one is pretty amazing.

Neil Young's one note solo on Cinnamon Girl. Never fails to make me smile. It's perfect.

Any of Muhammed Suicmez's solos on Necrophagist's Epitaph (and the solos of Christian Muenzner on that album are wonderful as well).

Brian May's solo in Killer Queen. Awesome. A miniature classical composition without flaw.

The solos of Mustaine and Friedman on Holy Wars/Punishmenet Due and Hangar 18 are faves as well.
