Dang, Asheville NC date in a nice place. Hard to believe they'd book a 1000 person capacity venue. Is that the state of old school metal today WTF. Wondering if camera policy would allow DSLR with multiple lenses. hmmm

They're playing near here at a similar venue. Only $30! I was expecting about double that. Hopefully, Testament will get to play a decent length set, because they're the main reason I'll be there. Wish they'd come through here as headliners, but that never happens.

I'm afraid it is the state now, saw megs in reno last month at the reno events center 7000 seat capacity, lucky if there were 1000 people there:think: I think more like 500, motley crue played there last year, and sold it out

Nice; I wonder if Testament is still gonna play the whole Legacy album on this tour like they were gonna on the Carnage tour? Oh and Glen Drover is playing on this tour instead of Skolnick due to "other commitments" IMO I dont think that marriage is gonna last much longer with Testament and Skolnick those old "creative differences" will rear their ugly head again. And I wonder how super Dave's ego will hang w/Glen on that tour :ROTF:
and how long it takes Testament to get kicked off the tour or it to get axed all together.

From what I just read, everything was scheduled just right for Skolnick to do the original dates as planned with Megadeth & Slayer, then meet commitments he had with his trio & TSO. Araya's surgery threw everything for a loop, and now they're trying to salvage it so Testament can still tour. Drover is great and is going to do an excellent job, but it won't be the same without Skolnick. He's on my short list of favorite metal players, and I've never seen him live. I'm seriously bummed.

Seconded. At least something nearby would have been cool.

Shame it's not a Rust in Peace reunion tour. I will be at the Memphis show whether Skolnick is or not.

Drover will do just fine as a fill in for Skolnick he did the mexico tour dates when Alex had the TSO dates to do. One thing about Testament is that they have always seem to get great musicians since the band first fractured in the 90's; its just too bad they couldnt get one line up to stick. It will be interesting to see moving forward if the 'Classic lineup' will hold together, my money is on it not holding together; but only time will tell. They will be back around w/Skolnick playing again soon enough but dont sell Testament w/out him short they put on a great show regardless who is playing his parts.

I have seen them numerous times through out the years with and without him and havent been disapointed yet on their live shows, and look forward to seeing them again on this little tour they are doing. Missed them last time they were down here in Houston due to some health issues but all is good now and look forward to catching them this time around.

What's "Classic" about it when they're on their fifth drummer? :ROTF:
